About Us

Been in existence since 1968.

  •  The  JNCKC is a non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of purebred dog through the education of breeders, exhibitors, pet owners and dog lovers. 
  •  Our purpose is to do all in our power to protect and advance the interest of the purebred dog. 
  • To encourage the breeding of sound, typical and healthy dogs of good temperament.
  • And to encourage and support the exhibition and judging of dogs in accordance with the recognized breed standards of the AKC. 
  •   AKC Events Participated in by members include:   Frisbee catching,  Conformation, Obedience, Agility, Earthdog Trials, Field Trials, Lure Coursing, Weight Pull, Sledding, Canine Good Citizen, Junior Showmanship, Flyball, Therapy Dog, Night Hunts, Water Races, Obedience, Rally, Tracking, Match Events, Herding Trials and Hunting Tests. 
  • From Judges seminars to seminars on obedience, agility and handling: there’s something for everyone. So come join a kennel club that has been in existence since 1968 and incorporated since 1991. Come see what the JNCKC is all about and come join YOUR local kennel club.

Monthly Meetings

  •   Meetings are held at the Supreme Buffet Hibachi Grill, 209 Freedom Way, Midway Park, NC. Meetings are held the first or second Saturday of each month, beginning at 1630/4:30pm, except if a holiday falls on that date. Items of discussion include responsible pet ownership and the sport of dogs including grooming, health concerns, animal ordinances, behavioral issues, and competitions such as conformation, obedience and field trials. The JNCKC welcomes members and visitors from all surrounding counties.

  •   Members of the JNCKC are enthusiastic dog lovers working towards a mutual goal of better understanding, appropriate breeding appreciation, care and training of dogs, catering in particular to the purebred dog.  To become a member, one must attend the required meetings, submit an application, and agree to abide by the JNCKC Code of Ethics and By-Laws.  Dues are $25 annually. This is due upon entry into the JNCKC.
